Call the vet and refer to this article which sounds authoritative. Return the Ace.
Ace is not recommend for Boxer dogs.
I asked my vet for Trazodone for my Boxer. He is a rescue, and very reactive to new people and new places. A neighbor is a vet tech and is doing nail trims at a cheaper price than my vet charges. When she arrived, he was fearful which of course presents as aggression. He calmed down fairly quickly, but she wouldn’t do his nails for which I completely understood. She recommended I ask my vet for Trazodone. I called my vet, talked to her, and thought I was getting a script for Trazodone. Instead, I got ACE. I haven’t given it to him, but I am wondering why you specifically said not to use with Boxers. Your thoughts?
