With a little planning, your yard can be a joy for you and your dog.

Dogs and gardens just naturally go together for me. I like to be outside with my dogs, them playing, me gardening, the birds singing. I enjoy watching my dogs running through the grass, lying on the patio in the afternoon sun, or exploring the scents left by visiting raccoons.

This dog-friendly garden features a small lawn area where the people relax and socialize and well-behaved dogs are permitted to visit, and, separated by some shrubbery, an undeveloped, “wild” area where the dogs are encouraged to play and hang out.
