  1. What is advised for rescued dogs? We adopted a former puppy mill breeding female, age 5. We have had her for a year. We had to toilet train her, train her to eat and drink from bowls, train her to use a door, etc. She is a very good girl, except for one behavior: her constant demands for attention.

I assume that she never got any individual attention, as she constantly demands attention. She is only comfortable and calm when she is touching me or my spouse – and when doing so, paws, air snaps, or jumps on us until she is petted.

    Any advice is appreciated.
