Buying Whole Dog Journal seems silly without seeing a sample issue. I have to wonder “Is this a valuable resource?”
I think the way the download link is rather hidden in small letters under the large block to subscribe is the problem. Once you get to the list of issues to download, click on the issue you want, then scroll down PAST the Subscribe block, and below that in small type is the link: Click Here to Download the Full issue PDF. I too went round and round with all the other distractions on the page, such as the column on the right that shows the issue and has under it in large color blocks Subscribe (in red block) and Digital Issues (in Blue). Those links just take you back to list of issues.
SO THE RECOMMENDATION WOULD BE TO MAKE THE DOWNLOAD LINK IN BOLD AND ABOVE THE ADD TO SUBSCRIBE, PLEASE. Thank you to webmaster who wants to make this subscriber friendly.
Please use these instructions for issues accessing your digital subscription.

I just wrote to customer service complaining of the same thing! This is absurd.
I just click on the image of the issue, then when it redirects me to this page, I click it again. It shows a ‘downloading’ icon. When it is finished, I click on the ‘wholedogjournal/downloadseptember . . .’ thing in the downloads bar in the upper right of the screen. That brings me where I want. I agree that it is complicated, though. It took me a couple months to figure it out. Hopefully they get it worked out soon.
I will get more herbal teas and perhaps grow some.
Yes, it’s far too complicated to download each issue. It’s an endless loop. I log in and it takes me too yet another page then back to previous page, click download it takes you to another download page.
I just checked my subscription status and am current until June 2021 but cannot download current issue because my “subscription is expired”. ???
this is happening to me as well – did anyone ever answer you?
Why do you make downloading so complicated. I have yet to arrive at the page where the actual download takes place. Download now goes to another page, download down, and another, but never a download or if it is, it’s disappeared in the bowels of my hard drive. In short, I don’t have the downloaded copy on my computer nor any previous copies. I’m cancelling my subscription.
I agree. It is complicated!
Yes. Too complicated! Simplify, please!
