    • In the months of March, April, May and June, we announced – via email, postings on our site and the pages of our magazine – our switch to a digital only format. We came to this difficult decision after years of continued exorbitant cost increases, particularly postage.

The June issue is the final issue in print or PDF form. We are now publishing nutrition, training and care information for your dog on a weekly basis. In fact, we now produce more content than every before. Paid subscribers can access all of these articles, recommendations and advice on our website. And every Wednesday and Sunday an email is delivered notifying readers of what’s been uploaded to the site in recent days.

And the cost of a Whole Dog Journal subscription is the same as it was more than 25 years ago! And today, our value to dog owners has never been greater. We hope you continue to support our efforts.

      • wow you guys dont get it i have finally got around to looking at and getting singned in to the site that i am paid until 2027 i have binders i keep back issues in . also why is wysong never been in food reviews been using it for 30 years and nothing but complements and great results

  1. Another one unhappy with digital format. I like to keep the hard copies handy to look up things. And I am getting so many emails that I think it’s the issue but just trying to sell me a book!. I am online now trying to figure out to stop so many emails. I only want the monthly issue. I will probably stop my subscription when it expires.

  2. I don’t like the change to digital only either. How about an option to pay more for the print version or choose to just go digital for less? I am willing to pay more for print. I have loved your publication in the past but will not enjoy reading it on a screen!

  3. I am glad that to see that I am not the only one who is disappointed WDJ has gone digital only. I came to the site today to see if I missed the July issue because I expected some kind of Email notification that it was available. I enjoy the specialized content, but prefer a hard copy that I can carry around, pick up and put down as time allows. I spend enough time on the computer as it is. Now I have to remind myself to check for/read a new issue. I will try to give it a fair chance during the transition, but may end up cancelling after all these years of being a subscriber.

    • Just spoke with customer service, today is July 22, she said the July isssue will probably come out near the end of the month…but don’t think she really knew. This is a mess and SO disappointing. I loved the old printed journal. This may be saving the publishers money but may also result in their losing subscribers.

  4. I was able to download the June issue, which I already have in print. Where is the July issue since it’s already the 13th? I LOVE the paper issues – so wish there was an option for this – like others, I’d gladly pay more for this. It’s hard to read on my smartphone but I do have a computer to use for doing this

  5. Just to get onto the website to log in was a challenge! I’m not terribly computer savvy, but this is now very stressful only to be sent in circles until finally something I did apparently was successful! I don’t like to have to read this on a 6.5 inch smartphone & certainly won’t be carrying around a laptop. This choice by the editorial staff to no longer publish in paper form was a poor choice & I will be re-thinking continuing my subscription.
