Not happy with the change to digital, I will not be renewing my subscription when it ends. Absolutely do not like this at all!!!!!
I have only digital and hate it. I would like to have the paper print version
I’m not at all happy about the change to only digital subscriptions. I will definitely not be renewing.
Liked the paper edition
All digital edition will be an adjustment
May not renew my subscription
Once I logged in, I had no issues getting the latest journal. For traveling and reading — downside, I will have to print it. Having on computer (not printed), I would think we would get a discount on our scription … suggestion!!
When I received my paper issue of Whole Dog Journal, I could take it wherever I wanted and read it in pieces. Now I will only be getting it on my computer, which I can take nowhere, which means I can only read it there. (I don’t have a smart phone, just a flip phone, which doesn’t load apps.) I don’t think that I’ll be resubscribing after my subscription expires.
I agree with you, Frances. It’s a disappointment to longer be receiving a printed copy
Agree
But think of how much money the publisher is saving!! Almost makes me wonder why there’s no reduction in the subscription cost!
Ha! exactly what I was thinking!
I am trying to find all the months I missed on paper and the only issue I can access is the “Current Issue” which is JUNE 2025! It’s now October 2025!! Where are my issues. I paid for 1 year. Will not be renewing 🙁
this is what I sent to WDJ:
to WDJ
when we were told you were going digital you definitely stated we could go online and get the monthly issues on pdf-that was a blatant lie.
the last one was June 2025 and none since.
As a veterinarian I recommended your journal for over 20 years. I probably won’t anymore and I am debating cancelling my own subscription. Keep your word and put out a monthly issue that us subscribers can download.
Dr. Linda Wolf, DVM
I agree I don;t like not having the printed copy mailed to me
I agree. I won’t be renewing my subscription either. I can’t even download the current issue so I’m getting nothing for my money. I’m disappointed.
I agree. Also, June appears to be the “current issue”. It’s the end of September, where are the subsequent issues? I fear this is not just an endless scroll of articles. Not enjoyable. also I get way too many emails from WDJ. I would have paid more to keep getting a paper copy. I’m sad.
I agree totally but I cant seem to find how to unsubscribe.
Email them. I canceled my subscription and got a refund.
go to Whole-Dog-Journal.com
click on Activate my web access
I had to then reset my password
Didn’t work. I get the reset. Still nothing though my account profile shows an active sub. Sounds like a scam.
I am having the same problem, not able to download the PDF. it also puts me in a loop back to start page.
Am a subscriber but cannot download current issue. Link keeps returning me to the start page.
I believe that my subscription gives me access to download full monthly issues. This is the first time I’ve attempted to do so and am not finding success. Any tips or tricks for this old pup?
not to mention that you can’t discuss this issue of no more monthly journal issues that you can download as promised with a real live person at WDJ
and note: so many of those articles we get emailed to us almost on a daily basis are either old WDJ articles or random articles from sources not WDJ written articles.
They are getting away with plagiarizing from other sources, etc. and we are still paying for new articles.
Agreed! I have tried several times to download past issues and the current issue with no success. Also, there is no customer service. I believe that Dr. L is correct with the editors allowing the continued plagiaizing. I have been a subscriber for over 20 years and only since the Journal has gone digital, I have been disappointed.
Is June 2025 the latest one????? I will not renew my subscription
